Bleeding Audio
Feature-Length Music Documentary (2014-2022)
Credits: Director & Producer
From inspiring triumphs to heartbreaking setbacks, Bleeding Audio relives the explosive career of the Matches and what it means to succeed in the digital age of music.
My journey with Bleeding Audio began in 2014 when I supported The Matches with video promotional content leading up to their November 2014 reunion. It was in this time that I learned so much more about their story and how it was an important representation of the universal struggle many musicians experienced in the rise of the digitizing music industry. The film was an absolute beast to complete. We began production in 2014, and wrapped post production in early 2020. Our world premiere took place on March 7, 2020 at the Cinequest Film & Creativity Festival in San Jose, CA… just as the world shut down to the global pandemic.
Since the premiere, and navigating the virtual film festival space, Bleeding Audio has screened at 17 film festivals and counting, winning 7 awards to date.
Bleeding Audio secured distribution through Cranked Up Films (via Good Deed Entertainment) and is now available on VOD, Blu-ray, and VHS.
